Located in the Youth Center in Prairie City, our food bank distributes food on the third Tuesday of every month from 5pm to 7pm.
During this time a complimentary community meal is also served. All are welcome!

The Monument food pantry is open to distribute food on the third Thursday of every month from 10am to 2pm.

The John Day United Methodist Church Food Pantry distributes food boxes every Friday from 3pm to 6pm.
WIC serves lower-income pregnant, postpartum and breastfeeding women, infants and children under age 5 who have health or nutrition risks. Many working families are part of WIC - 71% of Oregon WIC families are employed.
Applicants must meet four criteria to be eligible for WIC:
DHS announced that Oregonians statewide now can use their SNAP benefits online to buy groceries at Amazon or Wal-Mart, which support the physical distancing required by Governor Brown’s Stay Home Save Lives Executive Order. In addition, DHS is not requiring interviews for those who report having no household income. Oregonians can apply for SNAP without visiting a DHS office. You can apply online at OHP.Oregon.gov.
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) or commonly referred to as "Food Stamps" is a program that provides benefits to people who are economically struggling to put food on the table. Changes continue to be considered to open programs like this up to help people through the economic fall out from COVID-19.
